"Art as Defiance in a Time of Pandemic"
~ A Cumberland Arts Competition ~ v2.0
Revised Guidelines - Register by June 1, 2020

Call to Artists for a unique art competition to capture this moment in history.

As the world immerses into the surreal life of the COVID-19 pandemic, how does it impact the look and feel of our communities?  Cumberland Arts Inc. (CA)  is sponsoring a unique art competition that blends several artistic styles with the challenges of social distancing.

Theme - Artists are invited to select a subject expressive of their observations and experiences of this pandemic--both the unsettling and the inspirational. We are looking for finished works that typify art's power to capture this unprecedented moment. Artists free to create and explore their subject with no location restriction.

Type of Media - Cumberland Arts is seeking two and three-dimensional artworks in all media with the exception of photography, jewelry, or digital art. No photography, jewelry or digital art allowed in this competition.

Inspiration - Artwork must convey the theme based on insights inspired by the human, social and economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Registration - Deadline to submit registration is June 1, 2020.  The registration fee is $25.00 + $1.50 handling fee (total $26.50.) Each artist can submit up to two entries under the one registration fee.
