This free workshop is designed to give small businesses and nonprofit organizations some simple ideas for growing their organizations using email marketing and social media. Topics include what to write about, how to get more people to stop and read your messages and how to get more action, or reaction, to your messages and offers.
We will discuss what it means to run a campaign and tactics for measuring success without spending a lot of time or money. Participants will leave with a workbook full of ideas for timing their messages, how to write a winning subject line, what kinds of offers or content they want to try and how best to approach their next outreach project. This class is best suited for beginners in online marketing.
We will touch on facebook, using images for higher impact and we will even cover the importance of mobile-friendly content for higher engagement. This is a great class for beginners and smaller organizations looking to accomplish more in less time and with a small budget.
By documenting your understanding of these topics, in a way that creates a plan, you will leave with a greater understanding of how to optimize you email and social media marketing from a standpoint of where to find and how to cultivate the best relationships.
Sponsored by First Crush Winemaking Experience, SocialPunchMakreting and Constant Contact.
This event is free to attend.
First Crush is owned and operated by Becky and Lowell Zelinski, Ph.D. They own a vineyard management company called Precision Ag Consulting in Paso Robles, California. Becky Zelinski has a degree in communications from California State University, Bakersfield with a background in journalism, public relations and event planning. She was a freelance journalist and photographer, and wrote as a news correspondent for The Bakersfield Californian. Lowell Zelinski has doctorate in soil-plant-water relations from the University of California, Davis with nearly 30 years experience in agriculture production.
Becky conceived the idea for First Crush after learning how enamored friends and family were with the Zelinskis' personal winemaking experience.
"A few years ago, Lowell and I made our own wine. I documented the entire process on film and shared it with friends and family. Numerous people said it looked like so much fun that they wanted to experience the joy of making wine too. So we figured out a way that they could."
Becky's meticulous attention to detail and party-planning experience means every weekend will be filled with fabulous food, great camaraderie, and lots of fun. The Zelinskis will be applying their viticulture knowledge, personal talents and personal winemaking experience, with local contacts to make First Crush, a delightfully rewarding and memorable event.
Coleen Gravem is the Marketing and Event Planning Assistant at First Crush, and is also an Agricultural Communications senior at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. She started in June of 2011 as the harvest intern and quickly became an integral part of the First Crush team. You might recognize her from the Crush Encounter weekends, visits to the tasting room, or any of the tasting and trade shows First Crush attends throughout the year. She has grown so much with us in the past year and we can't wait to see where this path leads her in the future.
