KCBS Membership not required to compete!!

Professional BBQ Contest: There will be four (4) separate categories in the BBQ Contest [1. Chickine, 2. Pork Ribs (loin or spare), 3. Pork (Boston Butt/ Picnic/ Whole Shoulder) and 4. Beef Brisket] with $7000 in cash prizes along with awards. To be in the Competition for Grand Champion and Reserve Champion, a team must have entries in all four categories.

Entry Fee:

Early Bird Registration Fee (Expires: April 1, 2020):  $225.00

Registration Fee (After April 1, 2020):  $240.00

Standard BBQ Team space is 20' by 40'

2 bags of ice will be provided to all Professional BBQ Teams

The legal stuff: By completing this application I agree to abide by the Kansas City BBQ Society (KCBS) rules and regulations. Release Waiver of Liabliety: In consideration of your accepting this entry, I, the applicant, as team captain/cheif cook, intend to be legally bound, hereby for myself, my heirs, my team, or my guests in this event. Further, I hereby give full permission to the event organizers and any other agents authorized by this event's organizers to use any photographs, videotapes, motion pictures, recording or any other record of this event for legitimate purpose. NO REFUNDS. 

Inconsideration of your “submission or acceptance” of this entry, I, applicant, Intending to be legally bound, hereby from myself, my heirs, executors, and administrators waive and release any and all rights and claims for damages against the KCBS, The Best of the Midwest Barbeque Competition Organizers, Greater Union Grove Area Chamber of Commerce, the Racine County Fairgrounds, the Village of Union Grove, the Village of Yorkville, the State of Wisconsin, all sponsors, their agents, successors and assignees for any and all injuries suffered by me in this event. Further, I hereby grant full permission to the Greater Union Grove Area Chamber of Commerce and/or any and all agents authorized by them to use any photos, videos, film, recordings and any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose. I agree to abide by the rules and regulations of KCBS and the Best of the Midwest Committee and/or any and all agents authorized by them.

Confirmation of team application will be forwarded to you by email to the address given in form. Please make sure address is correct and valid.

SET UP TIME

Early setup is THURSDAY, October 15, 2020, by appointment only and may be subject to an additional camping charges.  See registration form for more details.  

Regular setup is FRIDAY, October 16,  2020, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE IF NOT REGISTERED BY THE 9:00 p.m. DEADLINE October 15, 2020, YOUR SPACE WILL BE ELIMINATED WITH NO REFUND.

Judging will take place on Saturday October 17th, 2020 beginning at 12:00 p.m.

SAFEGUARDING THE PREMISES

Competition Teams will take all steps reasonably necessary to protect and safeguard the premises of the Site from damage, vandalism, extra-ordinary wear and tear, or other adverse effects caused by or arising out of the conduct on the part of the Team and the agents and employees of the Team in the course of setting up, removing, and participating in the Best of the Midwest Barbeque Competition

NOTE: NO REFUNDS ON REGISTRATION

In a case of cancellation, the registration amount will be applied to the next available Best of the Midwest Barbeque contest that the team can participate in unless cancellation is less than 60 days from the date of the event.
