We have 2 guest speakers and 2 sessions.

How to get a competitive edge on BC's LNG
and Major Project opportunities: Understanding Health, Safety and Environmental expectations

Session 2:  1:15 pm - 2:30 pm
 Succession Planning and Maximizing your Value on Exit   

Session 1 - This presentation is intended to provide companies seeking to submit competitive bids with an understanding of the regulatory and project requirements related to Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) that all contractors working on these projects may be expected to meet. Our PwC speaker, Wally Kosterman is a retired Technical and Process Safety manager from Shell Canada. Wally will provide exclusive insights into the HSE requirements of LNG and other major projects in BC that contractors should have in place to be competitive. Those companies that understand the HSE management system expectations will have a competitive edge when bidding on upcoming opportunities. 
Speaker Bio: Wally Kosterman has worked for 34 years in the Oil and Gas Industry in thedevelopment, implementation and assurance of Process Safety and Integrity Management programs and HSSE Management Systems deployment and application of Technical Safety Engineering requirements in new and existing facilities. For the past 17 years Wally has worked for Shell Canada and has had direct involvement in LNG Canada's proposed project in Kitimat. Wally brings a unique insight into both the regulatory and project HSE requirements that all contractors working on this and other major projects in BC should understand and prepare for as part of their HSE Management System programs. 

A second workshop has been added to the luncheon for those who can stay.  It will run from 1:15 pm to 2:30 pm.

Session 2 - Succession Planning and Maximizing your Value on Exit

Speaker Bio:  Ken Su is a Partner in the PwC Deals practice which covers Transaction Services, Corporate Finance, Valuations, and Restructuring for our clients.  

Ken has over 21 years of experience with the firm and he assists clients with Mergers and Acquisitions, due diligence investigations, preparing for divestitures, managing carve outs, effective strategic planning, conducting negotiations, business/asset valuation, deal closing, business restructuring, and post-deal integration. 

Ken has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia and is Ken is a fully qualified CA (Canada), CPA (USA), and CFA (International).
