The first night football game was played in the small town of Mansfield, PA on September 28, 1892. Each year the residents of Mansfield come together to commemorate this historic event with a weekend-long celebration of our storied past. Horse-drawn carriages, antique automobiles, period attire, and all things 1890's can be seen as the town travels back through time.  The featured event of the weekend is the reenactment of the first night football game, featuring actors wearing authentic uniforms, 1890s rules, and humorously accurate game-play.  

Other popular attractions are the fireworks display, Mansfield University Football Game verse Cornell, and the Mansfield Sister Cities Banquet.  Come join us for a weekend of family fun on September 23 and 24, 2016 in Mansfield, Pennsylvania.
