Attachment Theory

Understanding the Impact of Attachment & Relationships on Behaviour and Learning

Friday 2nd October 2020

One aspect of Attachment theory is the importance of the early relationships developed between the child and their care givers.  Children initially gain an understanding of themselves, relationships and their perception of the world from their relationship experiences with their care givers.  These early attboy upset with legs crossedachment experiences can have a considerable impact on children and young people’s behaviour and learning.  It is essential for all practitioners involved in Education, Social Care and Health to have a clear understanding of attachment theory.

This course will provide you with an introductory theoretical base whilst exploring different effective strategies and interventions to support children and young people with issues around attachment.

The benefits of attending this course:

  • You will gain an introductory knowledge of Attachment theory and the impact it has on the behaviour of children and young people.
  • You will develop strategies and interventions to support attachment behaviours in children and young people.
  • You will gain an understanding of when children and young people require additional support.
  • You will have the opportunity to learn in a safe high quality training environment, where learning is enjoyable.Attachment Theory
