PBIS Administrative Overview 

The overview is intended for district leaders, building principals and potential district/regional and building based coaches to gain insight into the commitments necessary for implementation of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS), a proactive systems approach for creating and maintaining safe and effective learning environments in schools and ensuring that all students have the social/emotional skills needed to ensure their success at school and beyond. The overview will describe the rationale, model and provide an explanation of the implementation of all three tiers of SW-PBIS and the steps for getting started.

Audience: District Administrators, PK-12 Building Administrators and potential site coaches. The overview is a pre-requisite for school leadership prior to school teams beginning the PBIS training process.
