The Institute's annual convening is an opportunity for educators to come together to discuss emerging best practices, lessons learned, and introduce new topics or aspects of personalized learning. Participants will hear from leading national speakers as well as break-out presenters featuring expert educator practitioners from the largest, most concentrated area in the country with the most robust and developed examples of personalized learning. Don't miss this premier event on personalized learning!
This year’s theme, Fostering Powerful Learners, focuses on the outcome of a personalized learning system -- nurturing well-prepared, independent learners. Over the course of the two days we want to ask and answer: How can we foster powerful learners to become their own best teachers?
We’ll explore how to help learners see purpose in their learning, how to give them ownership over their learning, how to instill a sense of wonder, so that learners have a sense of efficacy over their learning and are responsible for their learning.
Today, it’s critical that learners are capable of learning, un-learning, and re-learning when necessary without external direction. Individuals that can drive their own learning and see learning as a key to their ongoing success is a marker for each of this year’s strands.
Visit our Convening website for more information!
Optional Site Visits are available on October 30th as an add on to your registration
