 IEP Process & Product Training

Description
The IEP Process & Product training will give participants basic knowledge and information about Individualized Education Plans (IEP). Participants will learn about the referral process, timelines, evaluation, and determination of disability and services. That's the process part.

The second part of this presentation will give participants a good understanding of how an IEP is developed and what is written into it. Participants will learn how to navigate the special education maze and explore parent-friendly resources that will help them be more effective advocates for their child.  Information on the college & career ready IEP forms will also be discussed.

Presenters
Cheri Sylla, CESA #1 WSPEI Family Engagement Coordinator

Audience
Parents, family members, teachers, and others who work with students who have an IEP

Lunch will be provided.  Although there is no charge for this workshop, partipants are asked to register so that appropriate resources are available.
