This workshop is designed for students in grades 3-12 who have knowledge of foundational writing concepts, but who struggle with the writing process. The goals of the intervention are to assist students in the understanding of the writing process and how to use problem solving strategies. Time will be spent learning the components of the Writing Aloud intervention and the alignment of the intervention to classroom instruction and the Common Core State Standards.

Audience: Title I and Special Education teachers, Reading Specialists and Interventionists, and Classroom teachers who do interventions

*Each will receive a copy of, Interventions that Work: A Comprehensive Intervention Model for Preventing Reading Failure in Grades K-3, with their registration and receive it on day one of the training. Participants must register by Sept 28, 2018 to be guaranteed a copy of the text.
