Comprehensive Intervention Model: Assessments

This workshop is designed to expose teachers to assessments that serve three purposes: (1) to identify students who are at risk of reading failure: (2) to match students to the appropriate intervention: and (3) to monitor the effectiveness of the intervention. Teachers will learn various assessments that can be used while working in the CIM Interventions. 
This is a prerequisite workshop to upcoming CIM trainings at CESA #1. 

Objectives:

  • Administer a running record
  • Analyze a running record
  • Develop a portfolio of assessments

Audience: Title I, Special Education, Classroom, and ESL teachers, Reading Specialists & Interventionists

Facilitator: Linda Braier

*Each will receive a copy of, Interventions that Work: A Comprehensive Intervention Model for Preventing Reading Failure in Grades K-3, with their registration and receive it on day one of the training. Participants must register by July 27, 2018 to be guaranteed a copy of the text.
