Braiding Initiatives
Preparing Students with Disabilities
to be College & Career Ready

It can be daunting to manage all the initiatives designed to help your students with disabilities plan for their futures.  Learn how to navigate the road toward your students' future using ACP (Academic and Career Planning), PTP (Postsecondary Transition Planning), and other special education initiatives.

Developing a comprehensive knowledge base of these initiatives, and identifying their commonalities and how they supplement one another can make the road a little smoother and more useful for everyone involved.

During this workshop, participants will learn:

  • the purpose of ACP and what is included in the process
  • how students with disabilities should be involved with ACP
  • where initiatives duplicate, intersect, and supplement one another
  • how to involve parents, community, and educational partners in this process
  • how to coordinate services in your district
  • how to identify where the gaps exist in this service delivery and plan for how to address them

You may also wish to familiarize yourself with our Guest Wireless Internet Access at CESA #1 and our Guest Wireless FAQ's.

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA): CESA #1 will provide reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities attending our workshops or events. If you require accommodations, please contact the workshop coordinator for that event.
