Creating A Trauma Sensitive School Series

This event is full.
If you would like to be added to the waiting list, please email Jeanne Rhodes at jrhodes@cesa1.k12.wi.us.

This series will provide school teams with the tools that they need to create a trauma sensitive school. They will do so by using the 7 Essential Ingredients (7ei) Model for Trauma Sensitive Schools developed by SaintA in conjunction with the resources from the Wisconsin DPI Trauma Sensitive Schools Learning Modules, which were co-authored by the facilitator, Sara Daniel, MSW, LCSW. The planning will continue through the school year as building teams continue to engage in coaching sessions to support school-wide implementation.

Teams must view modules on DPI’s website before each session.

Teams:
Teams of up to 5 people from a single school. Additional members may be added for a fee. Teams must include a building administrator, counselor/social worker/school psychologist and a regular education teacher.

Presenter:
Sara Daniel, MSW, LCSW is the Director of Clinical Services and Staff Development for SaintA, an agency providing trauma informed care to children and families in Wisconsin. For 20 years, Sara has been collaborating with school districts and providing training for working with students affected by trauma, mental health issues or behavioral challenges.
