Resume Workshop

Resumes are an opportunity to document a person's skills, experience, and education for the purpose of seeking career based learning opportunities and employment. In order to effectively do this it must conform to current business and industry expectations. Feedback from workforce development and employers indicates that high school student's resumes often do not meet the criteria they expect. Professionals from Waukesha County Technical College and CESA #1 will facilitate resume development that is robust and appropriate for today's marketplace.

Participants will:
     - Identify how resumes and career based learning relate to curriculum and district initiatives
     - Compile resources for creating resumes for a variety of careers
     - Explore format and content of resumes that will enhance student opportunities for career based learning
       and employment
     - Recognize resume content and formatting to enhance selection by ATS
     - Develop lesson plans with other teachers that will utilize workshop content and prepare you to go back to
your classroom ready to teach resume development

Presenters:
