10th Annual
National Convening
on Personalized Learning

Rising Stars: The Future is Upon Us

The Institute's annual convening is an opportunity for educators to come together to discuss emerging best practices, lessons learned, and introduce new topics or aspects of personalized learning. Don't miss this premier event on personalized learning!

The theme of the 10th Annual Convening is both a celebration of the past 10 years and a hopeful look forward to the future. Significant progress has been made toward creating learner-centered educational environments designed around individual learner readiness, strengths, needs and interests, but there is still much to be done.

The theme also recognizes that social and economic changes in the past few decades are transforming the world of work. Today’s learners must be prepared to succeed in a global marketplace that will continue to evolve and change in ways that we can’t predict. We must continue working to redesign our educational system to nurture powerful learners who take responsibility for their own learning path and possess the skills to become learners for life.

Join us at the convening to honor all that has been accomplished, and help us kick off the next decade of engaging, empowering and innovating!

Reclaiming Personalized Learning to Restore Equity and Humanity
Technology is at the center of far too many models for personalized learning. By humanizing personalization, we can restore equity to our classrooms through a human-centered pedagogy. In this keynote session, Paul will help participants debunk five myths for personalized learning, explore the differences between humanized and dehumanized personalization, and pave a path to equity through sustainable pedagogy and the restoration of humanity in personalized classrooms.
