All You Want to Know About Contracts
Each of us deal with contracts in our professional and personal lives nearly every day (purchase orders; commercial/residential lease agreements; equipment lease agreements; service contracts; partnership agreements; non-compete agreements; vendor agreements; vehicle lease agreements, etc.).
Since Florida law generally provides that parties are charged with knowledge of all agreements that they sign (regardless of whether they actually understood the agreement), it's important to have an understanding of contracts. It's also imperative to have an understanding of detrimental contract provisions which should be avoided when signing a contract, and crucial terms which you should insist are included in your contracts.

Jeffrey M. Garber is a partner with the law firm of Ciklin Lubitz. He concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial and business litigation in both federal and state courts, with a focus on real estate and corporate litigation.
