Your Start-up Budget for Launching a New Business

Launching a new business can be an invigorating experience. However, getting caught up in the excitement and neglecting the details can often lead to failure. Over-spending and running-out of cash are very common mistakes. A realistic Start-up Budget helps the entrepreneur stay on track and keep her eyes on the ultimate goal.

In this workshop you will learn what startup costs are and how to budget for the expenses you will have before your business has any income. We will help you determine how much working capital you will need.

In advance of this workshop, you will be sent a template to download on your laptop. If you don’t want to bring your laptop, a handout of the template will be provided for you to make handwritten notes and fill in the blanks.

If you are willing to put in the effort, you could walk away with the foundation of your startup budget and a key piece of your business plan.

(You will need to download the template before the workshop as the internet connection in the conference room may not support the number of people in the workshop).

There is a registration fee of $10.00/person for this workshop, paid by credit card in advance, or cash at the door. The fee is non-refundable but can be credited towards a future workshop. If you are unable to attend, email workshops@scoreboston.org and ask for an account credit.
