Funding Options - What to consider and Where to Find It.

Getting a new business off the ground is hard and often needs some capital. Where can you get that money, and how much will it cost you? Are your funding expectations realistic? Jessica McLear and Ben Littauer are experienced angel investors and business mentors who will guide you through the options.

The session will be interactive, so bring your questions. Specific cases will be discussed as often the best way to understand business funding options.

This workshop provides an overview of the whole range of potential financing sources for startups and small businesses. At a high level, we will explain the debt, equity, and alternative funding options potentially available to you, and will address what lenders, investors, and crowd funders are looking for in a business.

Ben Littauer has been an angel investor for more than 10 years and is a member of Walnut Ventures. He has been a mentor, judge, and speaker at MassChallenge, The Capital Network, and many universities and entrepreneurship events worldwide. Ben takes pride in advising and mentoring individuals who are looking to start or grow a business and need outside funding.

Jessica McLear is an angel investor and member of the Launchpad Venture Group. She has been investing in and mentoring start-up companies for 20 years in both Canada and the USA.
