Prosecutor Bootcamp 2017

Please joins us for Prosecutor Bootcamp!

This two-day class introduces basic concepts of prosecution and is intended for people with less than two years of experience in a prosecutor's office.  It will include sessions discussing the role of the prosecutor, developing a case theory, making charging decisions, drafting search warrants, preparing pre-trial motions, and the special considerations involved in prosecuting DWIs and domestic assaults--the kind of cases typically assigned to new prosecutors.  This class would also be a good refresher for experienced prosecutors who want to get back to the basics.

This class will be held on February 14-15, 2017, in Room 450 of the Governor's Office Building in Jefferson City.  Registration will begin at 8:00 am on February 14.  The class will conclude with an optional 2-hour Karpel training session on February 15.  The class will be worth 11.4 hours of CLE (13.8 if you attend the Karpel session).

The registration fee for this class is $150.00.  Payment should be made in advance by sending a check made out to the MOPS Revolving Fund to P.O. Box 899, Jefferson City, MO 65102.  This fee includes the course and lunch on February 14.  All other expenses (lodging, parking and other meals) will be the responsibility if the participating jurisdictions.  We can also take payment via credit card.  Please call the MOPS office to make arrangements.
