Prosecutor Bootcamp 2023 

Please join us for Prosecutor Bootcamp, which will be held in Jefferson City on February 14-15, 2023..

This two-day class introduces basic concepts of prosecution and is intended for people with less than two years of experience in a prosecutor's office.  It will include sessions discussing the role of the prosecutor, developing a case theory, making charging decisions, drafting search warrants, preparing pre-trial motions, and the special considerations involved in prosecuting DWIs and domestic assaults--the kind of cases typically assigned to new prosecutors.  This class would also be a good refresher for experienced prosecutors who want to get back to the basics.

The class will be held in Room 450 of the Governor's Office Building.  Registration will be available beginning at 8:00 am on February 14.  Class will start promptly at 8:30 and will conclude at 3:45 on February 15.  

The non-refundable registration fee for this class is $250.00.  Payment should be made in advance by sending a check made out to MOPS Revolving Fund to P.O. Box 899, Jefferson City, MO 65102.  We can also take payment via credit card.  Click here to pay by credit card:

Please be advised that the registration and credit card payment systems are SEPARATE.  Paying by credit card does NOT register you for the conference. You will have to do both.  When you register, you can select pay by check or pay at the door, either will work for a credit card payment.

All expenses (lodging, parking and meals) will be the responsibility of the participating jurisdictions.

Because attendance at this class varies so widely, we do not set up an official rooming block.  The hotels most convenient to the training location are the Courtyard by Marriott (573-761-1400), Doubletree by Hilton (573-636-5101), or the the Capitol Plaza Hotel (573-6356-1234).  There are also several other hotels located around Jefferson City.
