Masonic Lodge Officer Training  

The Masonic Lodge Officer Training is a combination of the Secretary/Treasurer’s Day and Deacon Day.  We have designed the event to allow your lodge members to travel together and become familiar with the duties of their offices within the lodge and the duties of offices they may aspire to hold in the future.  Additionally your members/spouses are welcome to attend and learn more about Michigan Masonic Home. This day will focus on the following officer’s duties:

  • Secretary – Facilitated by William Finkel, RW Grand Secretary
  • Treasurer – Facilitated by David Boring, RW Grand Treasurer
  • Jr. Deacon – Facilitated by Leonard Davis, W Jr. Grand Deacon
  • Sr. Deacon – Facilitated by Mark Drayton, W. Sr. Grand Deacon

9:00 AM - Registration and Continental Breakfast.  The following Expo tables will be available to visit at this time: 

  • Michigan Masonic Home
  • Live Better at Home
  • Michigan Masonic Home
  • Grand Lodge of Michigan Staff:  Help with plural, transfers, dispensations, awards, etc...
  • Lodge Success Team.

10:00 AM - Joint Session in Doig Chapel with all attendees and the following presentations:

  • Jr. Grand Deacon
  • Sr. Grand Deacon
  • Live Better at Home
  • Michigan Masonic Home
  • Michigan Masonic Charitable Foundation

12:00 PM - Lunch provided in the Doig Conference Center

1:00 PM – Secretaries & Treasurers will begin their training in the Doig Chapel.  Tours of Michigan Masonic Home for those interested and Expo Tables will be available until 2:30 PM

2:30 PM - Estimated time of Departure.
