I Am Moving I Am Learning (IMIL) Training 

I Am Moving, I Am Learning (IMIL) is a proactive approach designed to complement school readiness efforts while addressing childhood obesity. The initiative was first launched by the Federal Office of Head Start in 2004. The unique approach encourages the implementation of customized strategies for increasing the amount and quality of physical activity, as well as promoting healthy food choices every day. The goals of IMIL are to: increase moderate to vigorous physical activity every day, improve the quality of movement activities intentionally planned and facilitated by adults, and promote healthy food choices every day. 

Come join the fun and learning as your Region 7 Training & Technical Assistance Team provides this action-packed training opportunity. The 3-day training will provide staff teams with a selection of active learning strategies that promote healthy behaviors and integrate with existing school readiness efforts. Choosy Kids award-winning music creates an exciting and engaging way of building healthy bodies, brains, and behaviors for young children, families and staff.

Don’t miss the opportunity to engage in this fun, active training that will promote wellness across all levels of your program.

Each participating program should plan to send a team of 2-4 staff to ensure the ability to implement IMIL effectively.

Registration cost is $375 per person

•  Registration includes lunch and beverages each day (3 days).

• Stoney Creek offers complimentary parking and hot breakfast each day for overnight guests.
