The Heroine's Journey in Myth, Film and Art
Celebrate Women's History Month as Mythologist Kayleen Asbo, Ph.D and film scholar Terry Ebinger offer perspectives on the Heroine's Journey through myth and the movies. Artist Rose Wognum Frances (co-founder of the Women'sSpirituality Porgram at th CaliforniaInstitute of Integral Studies) shares the stories and symbolism behind her paintings of pioneering Archeogist Maarija Gimbutas, Mary Magdalenee and the Black Madonna. Joining us will also be scholar Lizzie Berne-Degear with the "Word of the Month" and Parisian singer Catherine Braslavsky who will offer a sneak peak of her riveting music/spoken word creation "Ave Eva" which reclaims Eve as the beloved Mother of Humanity. This program is also recoorded fo later streaming and available on a sliding scale, with scholarships fo all who are in need, with a portion of all donations going to Tree Sisters, a woman-led reforestation project.
