GJHP is pleased to partner with Family Service of Glencoe (FSG) in The Legacy Project, designed to connect middle school students with community elders through the sharing of stories via interviews. The inter-generational project takes place over eight sessions, February 1 through March 22, on consecutive Thursdays, 3:30-5:30pm. Open to 7-8 graders only.
A community presentation of the interviews and projects will take place in April (TBD).
Facilitated by FSG Staff Therapist, Chuck Hutchcraft, LCSW, GJHP Executive Director, Audra Donnelly, and GJHP Program Director, Melissa Di Giacomo, The Legacy Project will provide enriching experiences for all participants. Both students and seniors will gain different perspectives on life and acquire a sense of curiosity by looking through the lenses of a generation other than their own.
