Communication is one of the most important skills we can ever learn.  Regardless of age or gender, communication skills still top the list of fundamental and critical skills needed to succeed in the workplace.  It leads everything that we do—whether we’re communicating at work to meet deadlines and achieve results, or communicating with friends, family and partners to build strong relationships.  Without strong communication skills, it is almost
impossible to make yourself understood, to understand others, or to persuade and influence effectively.  In this program you will learn effective communication skills enabling you to understand other people's needs and
expectations.  Once you achieve that level of understanding, you'll find it much easier to communicate your own needs and expectations.  Successful communication means having dialogues, not parallel monologues.  This
program will cover:

• Understanding the barriers to effective communication while sharpening verbal and nonverbal behaviors and skills.
• Applying direct and indirect messages for more flexible communication.
• Some of the “right” words to use.
• Using feedback and questioning skills to better understand others.
• Listening barriers and their impact on effective work relationships.
• The importance of listening
• Diagnose before prescribing - asking the right question at the right time.

Registration Information

• Seating is limited, and registration is on a “first come, first served” basis.
• Payment for registration must be received one week before the scheduled program date.
• Cancellations also must be received one week before the program date to receive a full refund.
• There are no refunds for “no-shows.”
• If you do not receive confirmation of your registration or a reminder notice for the session your registration has not been received.
