Event description
Minnesota has long led the nation in prosperity -- possessing a strong economy, a diversified industry mix, an educated population, and healthy residents. But does this competitive edge remain, or have we slipped? What can we do today to ensure a prosperous tomorrow?

Program highlights:

• Keynote address -- What will a prosperous Minnesota look like in the future, and how will we get there? Steven J. Rosenstone, Chancellor, Minnesota State Colleges and Universities.
• Data comes to life -- Dave Peters, Minnesota Public Radio's Ground Level, shares the stories of how today's trends are playing out in people's lives across the state.
• Information ignites action  -- Karen Kelley-Ariwoola, The Minneapolis Foundation, will share how the OneMinneapolis initiative has helped galvanize the community to promote equity in her city.
  
• Reports from home -- Participants will share what's happening in regions throughout the state -- with education, jobs, and health. What can we do to ensure a prosperous tomorrow?

To help frame the discussion, Minnesota Compass staff will present a brief, lively update of major trends critical for "Measuring Progress, Inspiring Action." The event will also include the release of the 2012 Compass Points dashboard brochure, and "coming attractions" of what's ahead.
