  • Be over 18, authorized to work in the United States, and NOT previously employed at the Barclays Center

Arena Operations Positions

All positions are part-time. They pay at least $13.30/hour, or more with specialized skills and experience.

  • Guest Services Usher Ticket Taker: Greet and direct guests, scan tickets, ushering, conduct suite sweeps, provide wheel chair escorts, operate elevators, and respond to guests’ questions, comments and complaints. Must demonstrate a strong understanding of good customer service.
  • Licensed Security Officers (and Supervisors): Provide a welcoming, safe and secure environment for employees, guests, performers, vendors, visitors, and contractors with excellent customer service. Requires New York State security guard license and 8/16-hour and Fire Guard certificates.
  • Facilities Conversion Crew Members (and Supervisors): Set up and break down arena for various events. Requires general labor and facilities maintenance skills, including hand and power tools, as well as use of mechanical vehicles. Overnight shifts are required.
  • Janitorial/Housekeeping Team: Maintain a clean and attractive environment before, during and after events. Requires experience cleaning facilities, and overnight shifts are required.

Food and Beverage Service Positions

All positions are part-time. All other positions pay at least $13.25/hour, or more with specialized skills and experience, or are base-plus-tipped positions that typically earn well over $15.00/hour.

  • Concession Cashier (entry-level): Receive and process cash and credit card transactions. Respond to guest needs and requests, deliver additional orders, and maintain service areas. Must have cash handling experience.
  • Concession Counter Server (entry-level): Anticipate guests' food orders and that ensure that needs are communicated to the cashier. Maintain service areas including station setup and break down. Must demonstrate a strong understanding of good customer service.
  • Food Service Supervisor: Ensure all products are displayed and merchandised appropriately at the Concession Stand. Oversee staff, practice proper product control and handle all inventory. Must have supervisory experience in a fast-paced food service or retail setting.
  • Suite Server, Food Runner: These two positions provide effective service to guests in the arena suites by taking food and beverage orders and delivering them in a timely fashion. Maintain service areas, use suggestive and up selling techniques, and busses tables. Requires experience with high-end restaurant service.
  • Bartender: Serve beverages, including beer, wine, mixed drinks and soft drinks. Discuss guests' orders and make recommendations.
  • Warehouse Team, Pantry Coordinator: These two positions support food and beverage service by following guidelines for receiving, purchasing, and distribution. Practice proper product control and handling of all inventory and equipment. Completeall paperwork accurately and in a timely manner. Requires experience with strong inventory management techniques.

Culinary Positions

All positions are part-time. All require relevant experience. They pay at least $15/hour, or more with specialized skills and experience.

  • Line/Prep Cook: Prepare, cook and serve all products according to recipe specifications and food safety practices. Know menu items specific to position. Requires a valid NYC Food Handlers certificate and line cook experience in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • Lead Cook: Ensures overall coordination of menu item production for the assigned position. Oversee staff, ensure food safety, and maintain consistent quality and timeliness. Must have a valid NYC Food Handlers certificate and supervisory experience in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • Utility Dishwasher: Follow proper procedures for dishwashing, pot sink set up and handling of all inventory and equipment. Maintain a clean kitchen environment. Must have dishwashing experience in a fast-paced kitchen.

Pre-screening events will be held in various Brooklyn locations. All interested and qualified candidates must attend a pre-screening event to be considered for a position. Registration (below) is required to attend pre-screening events. To be considered, you must meet the job requirements and be willing to work in a part-time, event-based position. This requires flexible hours, including weeknights, weekends and holidays.
