Parking

The UH SBDC is located in a 6-story, tinted glass-exterior building at the Southwest-most corner of Fannin and Hadley Streets. Free parking is available in the gated parking lot directly across the street in spots labeled, U of H, on the pavement.  The entrance to the parking lot is on Hadley Street. If the U of H designated parking spots are full, there is free and metered parking outside of the parking lot on Hadley Street and metered parking on Fannin Street.

Please park only in a U of H designated space!

The remaining spaces are contract parking for other building tenants who must display a parking permit at all times.  Unauthorized vehicles parked in non-U of H spots will be towed at the owner's expense.

is a series of courses on international trade topics coordinated by the District Export Council (DEC), a volunteer, non-profit organization associated with the U.S. Commercial Service of the U.S. Department of Commerce. DEC Members are appointed by the Commerce Secretary to provide mentoring on exporting.

The objective of the Export University is to enhance the skills of U.S. Business to better compete in the global market place.

 

Course Details:

 

This seminar brought to you by the Houston District Export Council, Lawrence Hanson and Jamie Joiner, Houston-area trade controls practitioners, will provide you with an update on recent changes to U.S. export controls and sanctions laws and regulations and an outlook on export enforcement under the new administration.

  • The program will highlight recent enforcement actions in the sanctions and export controls arena.
  • The presenters will also provide an outlook on possible changes in the trade controls area under the new administration

This workshop will cover :

 

- Recent changes to U.S. Export control requirements on military, commercial, and dual-use   goods and technologies, including items and activities that are subject to the Export Administration Regulations (EAR);

- Markets subject to U.S. sanctions programs, including Russia and Iran, and

-The Future of Export Enforcement: What can we expect and how do we prepare
