8th Annual Bag Lady Luncheon with Linda Blair

The Parker County Committee on Aging's 8th Annual Bag Lady Luncheon will be held October 18th at The Springs Event Venue located at 454 Thompson Rd, Weatherford, TX from 11:00am to 1:00pm. We are excited to announce that the special guest for this event is Academy Award-nominated actress and advocate Ms. Linda Blair.

Ms. Blair rose to fame at the age of 14 due to the hugely successful film The Exorcist. She was nominated for an Oscar and won the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress, along with many other accolades.

Ms. Blair is also a passionate advocate for animal rights. In 2004, she established the nonprofit Linda Blair Worldheart Foundation (LBWF). The Foundation rescues abandoned and abused companion animals and provides them with medical care, proper nutrition, socialization, and more.

The 8th Annual Bag Lady Luncheon is a great opportunity for the community to come together and raise money and awareness for Parker County seniors. The money raised supports Parker County's Meals on Wheels program and the Senior Center. A portion of the proceeds will also go to the Weatherford Animal Shelter.
