How CID is Impacting Construction in New Mexico

Speaker: Richard Tavelli, Director of the Construction Industries Division of the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department

Learning Objectives:

   Explanation of plan review and permit procedures

   Review the boundaries between CID and local building departments

   Discuss current building codes being enforced by the Division including the recently modified NM Energy Conservation Code

Richard Tavelli has over 35 years of experience in the construction industry. He spent the first 31 of those years as a project manager with Bradbury Stamm, retiring as Senior Vice President. His many projects included the construction of the Isotopes AAA Baseball Stadium, the Albuquerque Aquarium, and the restoration of the Montezuma Castle in Las Vegas NM. He has recently been engaged as a construction consultant to architectural firms, educational institutions, and the Archdiocese of Santa Fe. Rick is a Graduate of the University of New Mexico
