Who Goes There? Wildlife Tracking Workshop - Shrewsbury 

Who’s walking in the woods? Join the Shrewsbury Conservation Commission and the Vermont Woodlands Association on this 3-hour workshop, Saturday, March 10^th, from 10am-1pm. Learn the tracks and signs of many common Vermont mammals that you may find in the Shrewsbury area from Ed Sharron, a National Park Service Science Communication Specialist based in Woodstock. We may spot tracks of fisher, red fox, bobcat, and many more possible surprise guest as we trek across old wood roads up to the Pinnacle.

 We will begin the workshop with an indoor discussion, and then head outdoors to put your new skills to the test. All ages are welcome! Please dress appropriately for the weather, and water, snacks, and snowshoes, footwear traction, or trekking poles. If you need snowshoes, let us know so we can help you source some.

Since 1999, Ed Sharron has worked as a park ranger in several of our country's beautiful national parks, including Glacier NP, Voyageurs NP, and Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller NHP. Ed has been leading wildlife tracking programs for schools, workshops, and the National Park Service for more than 10 years.
