OSHA and Infection Control Compliance
for the Dental Practice

6 CE- $79
Continuing Education Course approved the the Missouri Public Health Association.

This course is best suited for Dentists, Dental Hygienists, and Dental Assistants who require this training as a condition for licensure and those who are interested in updating their knowledge of infection control principles and practices in the dental setting.

This course was developed to meet licensing requirements and to provide dental professionals with up-to-date, evidence-based principles and practices effective in eliminating the risk of spread of harmful pathogens to patients, staff and visitors in a dental setting. The course also addresses OSHA’s mandated annual employee training requirements for Hazard Communication, Bloodborne Pathogens, and General Safety Standards.

The goal of this course is to inform dental health professionals about their responsibility to develop and maintain a site specific OSHA compliance program including written protocols, chemical inventories, safety data sheets for chemicals, inspection check lists, accident investigation reporting guidelines as well as proof of employee safety training that addresses evidence-based principles and practices necessary to implement an infection control program that eliminates the risk of the spread of pathogens to patients, staff and visitors in a dental setting.
