Ms. Amber David, LISC Cincinnati

LISC Cincinnati is one of 31 local offices of LISC, a national community development financial institution that works with residents and partners to forge resilient and inclusive communities of opportunity across America – great places to live, work, visit, do business and raise families.  For the last 18 years, LISC’s efforts in Greater Cincinnati have been delivered through a two- pronged approach: capacity building and capital deployment.  LISCs’ small business loan program offers financing to small, for- profit businesses for everything from acquisition to equipment to working capital.

LISC has developed a partnership with Kiva – an online loan crowdfunding platform that enables entrepreneurs and small businesses access to 0% interest loans. Through this partnership, LISC provides dollar for dollar matching funds for borrowers in the Greater Cincinnati region who are working with one of the initiative's partners, also known as Kiva Trustees.
