Breakout sessions:

Trauma 101:  An Overview of Trauma-Informed Care
Target Audience: law professionals, law enforcement, educators and social workers
In this multi-media, interactive workshop, conference participants are provided information regarding the complex nature of trauma and its aftermath.  Included are specific skills that enhance professionals’ abilities to interact with people impacted by trauma.

Becoming a Trauma Informed Organization: Presence
Target Audience: those who have previously attended a Trauma 101 workshop
Presence is a new approach for creating trauma-responsive and trauma-resilient organizations.  Presence builds on and expands current understanding of what it means for entire organizations to immerse themselves in understanding and responding to adversity, chronic and toxic stress and traumatic experiences.  This introduction to an organizational approach begins to get everyone in the environment aligned around a set of agreed upon culturally relevant and trauma-informed values, knowledge, skills and tools.
