Re-Thinking Conflict:

5 Steps to Tackling Tough Conversations with Grace and Ease!

Thursday, October 6

Denver, Colorado

8:30 am-3:30 pm

Sponsored by The Metro District

Do you enjoy facing conflict in ministry?

Do you feel effective at dealing with it?

If you answered NO, this hands-on workshop is for YOU.

Learn a 5-step process for dealing with conflict in a way that empowers you and others.  No more avoidance, blaming or burned bridges.  Instead, discover how to handle tough conversations with grace and ease!

Step 1   Embrace Your Humanity   Our day-long experience is spiritually grounded and begins with worship.  Together, in a safe and confidential environment, we’ll acknowledge the fears and conflicts that keep us stuck.  And affirm the One who calls us forward.

Step 2   Discover What Motivates You   To better understand conflict, we first have to get a clearer picture of ourselves.  In this fun session, you will take a closer look at what truly motivates you and what gets you down.

Step 3   Decode Conflict   Explore four distinct styles of conflict.  Discover the underlying behavioral preferences that masquerade as irreconcilable differences or personal attacks.  In this intriguing session you will learn how to decode conflict.

Step 4   Strategize for Success   Now that you know how to decode conflict, get ready to deal with it in a whole new way.  You’ll uncover the strategies that allow you to approach tension and controversy with newfound grace and ease.  Prepare to let go of responses that keep you stuck.

Step 5   Tackle Tough Conversations   Practice what you have learned in a safe and supportive environment.  Through role plays, gain experience tackling tough conversations with fresh insight.  Instead of creating burned bridges, avoidance or blaming, prepare to create conversations that empower you and others!
