Free 2023 Community Tax Clinic

FREE 2023 COMMUNITY TAX CLINIC
(in partnership with Community Financial Counselling Services)

A request for an appointment should only be made if you meet all of the criteria for eligibility.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

- Modest income limits: $35,000 for singles, $45,000 for couples, add $2,500 per dependent
- Simple tax situation: employment income, pension income, social assistance, support payments, scholarships, bursaries or grants

* In order to file your taxes, you must have your Social Insurance Number and Proper Identification (Driver's License, MB Health Card etc.) with you at your appointment.

Please bring the following to your appointment:

- Social Insurance Number
- Proper Identification with full name (MB Health Card, Driver's License etc.)
- Property tax bill (homeowners)
- Receipts for: medical, childcare, charitable donations, rent
- Receipts for children's sports
-Tuition slips (T2202 or T2202A) if you are a student
- Spouse's / Children's / Dependents names, birthdates, income information and all t-slips
- If you are a minor ages 15-17 and you collected CERB you must also report your income
- ALL Employment T-slips***

WE CANNOT FILE TAXES FOR:

- Self employed individuals who wish to claim expenses
- Business income, commission, rental income/expenses
- Capital gains, losses or bankruptcy
- Deceased persons

PLEASE NOTE: You will be required to attend your appointment as per your booked time slot IN PERSON at South Winnipeg Family Information Centre at 800 Point Road, where experienced tax preparers will be present to file your taxes.

All appointments will be roughly 20 minutes long and tax results will be available in approximately one week.

Couples or Married/Common-Law partners should attend together: If one partner is not present, their tax return cannot be E-filed without consent by the non-attending spouse which may delay processing.

If you are a minor ages 15-17 and you collected CERB you must also report your income.
