FREE Trauma 102 Workshop: Basic Skills of Trauma-Informed Care - September 29, 2021

Building on information provided in Trauma 101, professionals will expand their understanding of trauma and are provided specific skills that enhance abilities to interact in emotionally and relationally healthy ways with people impacted by trauma. As professionals become trauma-aware, they have a responsibility to prevent, avoid, and respond to trauma. In this hands-on, interactive workshop, professionals are provided opportunities to implement and practice skills presented.

In partnership with Jefferson Health - Abington Faith Community Nursing Advisory Council, the Bucks-Mont Collaborative offers this valuable, practical trauma training. Our presenters come from Lakeside Global Institute (formerly called the Institute for Family Professionals.)

Be aware that prior trauma sessions filled and went to a waiting list very quickly! Register now to assure your seat. Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. ** Trauma 101 is recommended as a pre-requisite but not required.

Background:

-We have serious problems with the overall health and well-being of our population - 67% of the population has experienced at least one Adverse Childhood Experience

-We know that exposure to trauma and toxic stress is an important root cause of these problems

-We now have scientific evidence regarding effective prevention and treatment of traumatic exposure and its consequence

-Professionals who serve people who have experienced, or or currently experiencing, trauma are susceptible to vicarious trauma themselves

Join us to advance your basic education in trauma!

Schedule: 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm - Workshop

Please let us know ASAP if you register and your plans change. Since a waiting list is likely, early notice may allow someone else to take part.
