Join us as Professor Marion Taylor explores what the story of Ruth and Naomi teaches us about how “God raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap” Psalm 113:7. In addition, you will meet women studying at Wycliffe and hear personal stories about their calling, journey, and spiritual growth.
Although this event is provided at no cost to you, we welcome donations in support of the Wycliffe College Bursary Fund.
Marion Taylor, Professor of Old Testament is a graduate of Yale University, and has taught at Wycliffe College since 1986. She is currently working on commentaries on the books of Ruth and Esther. In 2012, she published The Handbook of Women Biblical Interpreters: A Historical and Biographical Guide, which expresses her keen interest in women’s interpretation of the Bible. Marion and her husband Prof. Glen Taylor, who also teaches at Wycliffe, have three adult children.
