Medication Administration - Category 1 initial (Riverside) 

This free two day class fulfills the requirements for Medication Administration Certification Category 1.  The class runs 8:00 am - 4:30 pm each day.

Affidavit:  After registering, complete the Employer Affidavit and email to info@academy4dsp at least 4 business days before class.  Click here for the affidavit.

ID: Independent Providers must present driver's license and a copy of high school diploma (or GED or higher) to trainer.

Lunch:  Lunch is not included.  Due to time restraints we encourage you to pack a lunch.

Registration Deadline:  Four (4) business days before the class, or when class is full

Cost:  Free!  Priority seating for Miami County providers.

Cancellation Policy:  Cancellations must be received by email at least 48 hours in advance, otherwise you will be charged $50.00 for the class.  Thank you for your understanding of our policy.

Speaker: Diana Keller is an RN Trainer with The Academy, and a DODD medication certification trainer.  She has experience in a variety of health care environments, most recently as the owner of a company that provided community inclusion experiences for people who have developmental disabilities and that focused on training and supporting DSPs.  Diana’s experience related to staff training on medication administration and delegated nursing is enhanced by her history of collaboration with county boards service/support administrators, providers, guardians and physicians.

Sessions offered by the Academy are specifically designed for anyone who works directly with individuals with developmental disabilities. If accommodations are needed please contact us at least one week in advance.
