Lunch & Learn: NYSERDA Commercial Programs Support Initiative 

Please join the Building Owners and Managers Association of Rochester for an exciting new Kickoff to help Members and Affiliates learn about NYSERDA’s energy programs and services designed to save you money on energy costs for your buildings.

ABOUT THIS INITIATIVE

NYSERDA Commercial Programs Support Initiative (CPSI) is intended to help commercial building owners navigate and access awareness NYSERDA support and funding available for making informed, effective energy-related investments.

Leidos Engineering, an energy efficiency services firm based in Syracuse, has been selected by NYSERDA to connect BOMA Members to the benefits of NYSERDA programs, this CPSI program and assist them in planning for energy-saving facility improvements and better energy management.

The Leidos team will help BOMA Members leverage available funding to reduce energy costs; improve building comfort, indoor air quality and energy performance; and support green building and sustainability plans.  In addition, BOMA members may be invited to showcase their successful energy-saving projects in video case studies and other program content.

The presentation will also include a review of the following:

  • Commercial Programs Support Initiative (CPSI) Goals and Benefits
  • Customer & Consultant Resource Enhancements
  • “Gateway” Services provided by NYSERDA including:
    • FlexTech Programs
    • Energy Study Aggregation Program
    • Commercial Tenant Program
    • On-site Energy Manager
    • REV Campus Challenge Roadmaps

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

Michael C. DeWein is the Strategic Program Manager for Leidos Engineering. He supports business and program development. With over 35 years’ experience as a national and regional leader in Energy Efficiency and Building Energy Code program development and implementation, advocacy and implementation, he is known as an expert with service in over 30 states, with the full range of building construction and operation stakeholders.

Mike is also nationally recognized for combining his deep technical knowledge and large network of energy efficiency market players and industry colleagues with sustainable, practical applications and solutions. 

Mike has served on numerous National and State Green, Energy Efficiency and Code advisory, development and technical committees, including the ICC – SEHPCAC, ASHRAE 189, USGBC. NYS Building and Energy Codes, among others.    

Charlie Bertuch, PE-LEED-AP-CEM, Principal at Bergmann Associates, will also share a Case Study of several buildings which have partnered with NYSERDA.
