Come explore the beautiful scenery and wildlife of Greenwich’s off-shore gems – Shell and Calf Islands.

Kayakers will paddle from Byram Beach to Shell Island, a 5 acre property owned by the GLT and can also enjoy guided tours of neighboring Calf Island hosted by the Calf Island Conservancy. Naturalists will be available on both islands to discuss the numerous inhabitants of Long Island Sound. This is a great opportunity to learn from experts about the ecology and history of these coastal habitats and spot the many plants and animals that call these islands home.

Be sure to pack a picnic and if you have a kayak, bring it along! Information on renting 1 and 2 person kayaks will be provided once an RSVP to the event is received. Suggested donations for the event are $25 per family.
