About our speaker, Rachel Oliver-Cobbin:
Gold Record and Award winning singer, actress, minister, teacher, program founder and entrepreneur Rachel Oliver-Cobbin is Miss Black America 1986. Little did she know when she was traveling the country representing the pageant encouraging and uplifting teenage pregnant girls and admonishing teens to stay clean and off drugs, that today she’d be an Evangelist/Psalmist, singing and preaching the gospel while writing and recording her debut gospel solo project.
The Alamance County native is the first North Carolinian to win the title, Miss Black America. Oliver-Cobbin is a lifelong pageant competitor and supporter, who fully believes in the benefits of pageantry skills training. Oliver-Cobbin and her husband, Keith founded African American Pageant Systems, LLC, the 501-C3 Miss Teen African American Scholarship Foundation, Pageant, LLC, and Development & Training Program: a national competition headquartered in Charlotte, NC, where state titleholders came for a two-week training in over 20 areas of life skills before competing in the national event.
Rachel Oliver-Cobbin has extensive experience that has brought her many opportunities, including appearances on many different TV shows! She will be joining us on November 18th for Working Women's Wednesday to let us in on some of the important things she has learned from her experience in pageantry and entertainment.
The Zoom information will be provided during the week of the event.
