SOAR - June 27 

Congratulations on your acceptance to Central State University! We are working diligently to prepare for your transition to Marauder Land.  It is my pleasure to provide you with information regarding Scheduling, Orientation, Advising and Registration (SOAR).

Are you ready to prepare for your SOAR Experience?

SOAR is an informative day for admitted students to complete their new student orientation and secure their place in the fall 2019 incoming class. This year’s event is on June 27, 2019, beginning at 8 a.m. During this event, you will meet the diverse Central State University (CSU) family of students, faculty, and staff. 

If you arrive after 10:00 a.m. please note that you may be subject to not being able to complete all of the steps required for Enrollment Clearance.

In order to attend this event, make sure you’ve submitted your one-time, nonrefundable confirmation fee ($300 residential students | $105 commuter students) by June 20, 2019, confirming your intent to enroll at CSU. With this confirmation, you’ll be registered for the following Scheduling, Orientation, Advising and Registration (SOAR) activities:

• Advisement – Your academic advisor will be available to review your class schedule with you.

• Financial Aid Counseling – Meet with your Financial Aid Counselor to discuss your Financial Aid and accept your award.

• Student Healthcare Waiver – Register with Med+Proctor to submit health and immunization information. 

• Financial Clearance/Cash Management – In order to fully complete the “Enrollment Clearance”, you must cover the cost of your tuition, board, and fees.  In addition to receiving a Financial Aid Award Letter, many students take advantage of the payment plan option to cover any remaining balance. 

Note: Once you have completed your financial aid process please note that you will be expected to pay your balance in full or activate a payment plan in order to achieve Enrollment Clearance

•  Housing Assignment/Roommate Selection – In order to receive your housing assignment, you will need to apply for housing.  

Note: You will not receive your housing assignment from the Office of Residence Life until you have satisfied the requirements for Enrollment Clearance.

• Office of the Registrar – You will be able to see a copy of your class schedule via MyCSU and turn in your signed Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) Form.

• Marauder OneCard – You will be able to take your ID Picture for your Marauder OneCard. 

Early registration for SOAR is recommended to increase the probability of completing all of the SOAR processes. Early registration deadline is June 20, 2019.

Note: Please remember that if you pay your Confirmation Fee after June 20, 2019 you will have to register for the next available SOAR Date.
