Lace Sampler Workshop
By Cheryl Oberle

Cowgirl Yarn is pleased to announce that Cheryl Oberle will be teaching a Lace Sampler Workshop on August 25th, 10am to 5pm. $95.00 plus materials.   Cheryle Oberle

Cheryl Oberle is a freelance knitting designer, author, and instructor living in Denver, Colorado. She received a BA in philosophy and in psychology from the University of Denver, studied art and architecture at Harvard and did graduate work at Northwestern University. Cheryl learned to knit at the age of four and she enjoys sharing her knowledge through her Knitaway™ retreats and the classes and workshops she teaches around the country. Cheryl is the author of Folk Shawls, Folk Vests, and the new Knitted Jackets: 20 Designs from Classic to Contemporary. Her work has been featured in Handpaint Country, A Gathering of Lace, and the One Skein Wonder series and she has designed for major knitting magazines and yarn companies. Cheryl also has her own line of self-published designs and kits featuring her hand-dyed yarn. When not knitting, Cheryl can often be found touring the Colorado high country with her husband, Gary.

The Lace Sampler Workshoplace sampler

Before there were pattern books, lace stitches were recorded in beautifully knit samplers that were passed from knitter to knitter. Spend a day learning to knit lace and begin your own heirloom sampler. You may choose to sample several patterns or to concentrate on advancing your skills and understanding of lace knitting. Basic skills are required, but knitters of all levels are welcome.

Student Supplies: 2 oz. fingering weight yarn, straight or circular needles, size 6 to 8. Also, yarn needle, scrap yarn, basic knitting supplies, scissors, pencil and paper.

Seating is limited.  Lunch will be provided in the workshop fee.  Let the store know if you have any food allergies.

Cheryl will be having a special trunk show on August 25th featuring her hand dyed yarn and kits available for purchase.

Cowgirl Yarn will also be hosting a book signing that evening featuring Cheryl's three amazing books.

If you will join us from out of town, please let us know if you need assistance in booking a room.
