NTSAD's 45th Annual Family Conference
For all families facing Tay-Sachs, Canavan, GM1, and Sandhoff

The Annual Family Conference is a wonderful opportunity to connect with other families that truly understand. Parents, grandparents, affected adults and their families gather to learn the latest research developments, discuss health management, honor our lost loved ones and offer one another unconditional support and friendship.

Helping Hand Grants are available to assist families with the some of the expenses of attending who otherwise wouldn't be able to attend. To learn more about the Helping Hand Grants, please visit its page here on NTSAD's website.

Don't miss this amazing weekend of Support, Research and Education!

Visit here to read more about the types of sessions you can attend during the conference weekend. We encourage all attendees to participate in the sessions as much as possible.

Please contact Becky Benson, Family Services Manager here with any questions or concerns that are conference related.

Health and Wellness Precautions
For the safety of the entire NTSAD community, all conference participants are asked to observe the following precautions:

  • If you have a fever or are experiencing cold- or flu-like symptoms, please contact Becky becky@ntsad.org, and do not attend the conference.  This situation would qualify for a refund of registration fees.
  • For those who begin to feel ill during the conference, COVID-19 tests will be available at the registration desk. If you test positive for COVID-19 or continue to have active symptoms (fever, sore throat, cough, etc.), please refrain from further attendance at the conference.
  • Use hand sanitizer frequently and wash your hands when available, especially before meals.
  • Maintain a safe physical distance from others, when possible.
  • For those who prefer to wear them, children- and adult-sized masks will be available at the NTSAD registration desk upon request.

These precautions are subject to change based on current conditions and CDC guidelines.  To ensure the safety of the vulnerable population we serve, NTSAD leadership will follow recommendations from its medical advisors and the CDC, state, and local guidelines.
