Food2Soil is a community supported social enterprise building a network of public and private composting hubs across San Diego County. This tour will cater to facilities managers interested in the idea of hosting a compost hub on their corporate/office complex to enable employees and cafeteria to offer their kitchen scraps for composting.
Food2Soil will offer this tour at Ocean View Growing Grounds Community Garden which is an active community compost hub. Attendees will have a chance to see the setup required for on-site composting, learn about various stages of composting from scraps to soil and ask questions.
Parking: There is ample pakring along the street in front of Food2Soil.

Sarah Boltwala Mesina is the Executive Director of Inika Small Earth which incubated Food2Soil as a community supported social enterprise in 2015. Food2Soil’s mission is to build a network of community and corporate compost hubs across San Diego that create a vocation for soil-growers, build a market for quality compost and educate the community on the importance of healthy soil.
