Hurricane Harvey Assistance for TASO Members 

We have all been glued to the television and other video sources watching the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey.  Our TASO family includes over 35 chapters with 4,300 members along the coast from Corpus Christi to Beaumont.  Many have suffered property damage from the wind and flooding; some have lost everything.

Now is the time for all of us to step up and aid our officiating brothers and sisters.  To that end, TASO is setting up a system to provide the needed assistance.

Who is this for?

This assistance program is for TASO members affected by Hurricane Harvey.

How will the funds be distributed?

A special Task Force with representatives from all six TASO Divisions will review requests and determine the assistance provided.

How are requests made?

Any TASO member that has suffered a property loss as a result of Hurricane Harvey and its aftermath may request financial assistance.

What Types of Requests Will Be Considered?

Any type of assistance will be considered.  Requests for replacement of officiating uniforms, officiating gear and TASO dues will receive priority.

How much of my donation will go to TASO members affected by the storm?

100%, less credit card charges.

Will this cause my dues to increase?

No, we will use the donations generously provided.

Will TASO seek donations from non-TASO members?

Yes, we will request donations from non-TASO officials from other states and other officiating organizations.

How can I help?

TASO has created a site where you can donate with your credit card.  If you prefer to donate an amount different from the credit card options, you may send a check to the TASO office.
