Since 1978, Hispanic Health Council (HHC) has worked tirelessly to deliver health and social services to Latinos and other diverse communities. HHC’s innovative, evidence-based programs have changed lives, linking people to healthcare services, providing health education, basic needs and empowerment and support. Moreover, through Hispanic Health Council’s research and advocacy initiatives, we have listened to the voices within our community, gathered data and used this data to impact policy and directly improve the health of our community members.
On Saturday, June 14, 2014, the Hispanic Health Council will celebrate Voces Unidas (United Voices), its inaugural fundraiser, which will take place at the Marriott of Farmington. Beginning at 6 PM, the event will celebrate:
Voces Unidas will feature the music of Mikata, the award-winning salsa band/Latin Jazz Orchestra; a beautiful silent auction with an unparalleled selection of gifts and indulgent items to delight all; and a very special honoring of the community work of Yvette Melendez, Vice President of Government and Community Alliances at Hartford Hospital.
Celebrate with us the recent union of Hispanic Health Council, Hispanos Unidos and Mi Casa Family Services. We hope you can join us!
