We want to welcome you with open arms and hearts to a weekend mountain retreat filled with love, encouragement, peace, comfort and hope.  It will be a special time of caring, sharing, bonding, and meeting new friends walking on the same road and journey towards healing.

 Daisy's message will fill your broken heart with encouragement and HOPE and give you strength in your journey towards healing.  She will share the promises of Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you HOPE and a future."

"MOVING OUT OF THE PRISON OF SHAME, GUILD AND REGRETS" 

  Dr. Doug and Bj Jensen

 Have you ever felt guilt, shame or regret over the death of your child?  So has Dr. Doug and BJ Jensen.  They will share ways they learned to break free of whatever is stifling your healing. The Jensens are joined by members of the LOVE IN MOTION Signing Choir from San Diego with personal testimonies, and inspirational songs about the healing journey. The object of their talk is to leave you feeling informed, uplifted and inspired.

 A bird hits the window and you wonder will it ever fly or even sing again?  Maybe, just maybe mom you will fly again!  John and Lynda will encourage you to find your wings and a song in your sorrow.

"HE RESTORES MY SOUL: THE PATHWAY OUT OF THE VALLEY OF GRIEF"   Linda Stirling

We have a Shepherd who stands by in our grief to guide us along His path for a renewed life-after-loss.  He knows the pitfalls, the predators, and the detours along the way.  He has planned every step.  Linda will share the four turning points on the upward climb toward restoration, out of the dark valley to be refreshed by the still waters and green pastures of His comfort.

 I lift my eyes to the Mountains where does my help come from. The maker of Heaven and earth. This psalm is a Psalm of ascent. The Lord wants to take us out of the Valley of Death and help us to not only ascend out of the Valley but He wants us to soar beyond what we have ever hoped for.

“STRENGTHENING A MARRIAGE AFTER THE DEATH OF A CHILD"

Dr. Doug and Bj Jensen

 Not wanting to become a divorce statistic after the death of their son, Dr. Doug and BJ Jensen researched what they could do to help them build a stronger marriage in the midst of their crisis.  They will present TOP TEN ACTIONS that can build a closer relationship after the death of a child. Participants will gain tools, principles, ideas, and perspectives that can strengthen a marriage. Doug and BJ use a multi-media approach combined with grace, humor, compassion, and knowledge on the subject of grief.

 This workshop will help you understand the grief process children and siblings go through. Ideas will also be presented to help your living grieving children. Our living children are often forgotten grievers but need extra love and support during this time.

"THE MISSING PIECES OF LOSS" - Dr. Chuck and Dr. Rae Ann Weber

Dr Charles Weber and his wife Dr. Rae Ann will entertain a discussion regarding how addictions, drugs and mental illness may have effected your child’s death. Sometimes answered questions and understanding can help heal a mother’s heart.

"HEARTS TOUCHING HEARTS" - Linda Stirling 

 This workshop is designed to encourage mothers who have a desire to start a care group in their area.  Linda will share excellent tools and material that can help even the most amateur facilitator.  Learn how you might use life's most devastating experience to serve others.  Giving to others is a positive sign of the beginning of healing and a special way to honor your child's legacy. 

 

Our retreat together will be a special times celebrating and remembering our children through a beautiful candlelighting program and your heart will be lightened creating a treasured memory.  May it be a journey you will fondly remember, one that is filled with FAITH, HOPE and HEALING.
