COVID-19:
Tentative plans to protect safety:
MASKS: Students MUST bring their own mask to class. Masks will be worn in the van and on field trips that require us to be close to people, and inside the teaching space. Masks are not required outside at the teaching space or field trips where we spread out, but we will stay apart.
SOCIAL DISTANCING: We will do our best to stay 6 feet apart in the teaching space and spend more of our downtime activities outside in the yard. ALL VAN RIDES WE WILL HAVE 8 PEOPLE IN THE CAR DRIVING TO AND FROM FIELD TRIPS.
MORE TIME OUTSIDE: We will be spending more time outside both on field trips and in the yard doing games and activities during downtimes like corn hole, frisbee, football, large jenga.
LIABILITY WAIVER: Parents will NEED to sign a waiver before class starts accepting the program as outlined and releasing Big Picture from liability if their student contracts Covid-19. We will also have you fill out a health questionnaire on Monday of class.
SANITIZE: Students and staff will assist in wiping down the van and work stations. We will have sanitizer here and students are encouraged to bring small bottle for themselves.
OVERNIGHT CLASS: Masks are not required in the house or property and we will not be going to any other places. However, a health questionnaire is required at the start of the week to make sure students have no symptoms and have not been exposed.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Our program is a boutique learning experience that is part camp/part art class. 2/3rds of the time is "on the go" shooting around Boston, the other 1/3rd editing & relaxing at the home teaching space near the Franklin Park Zoo. Downtime: Wii, boardgames, basketball hoop, Netflix, cards. Classes are for 7 students, ages 11-15 (see course description for alternate age ranges). No phone use during class for any reason other than to communicate with family regarding pick up.
